Austin Moto Adventures

These training weekends with ATX are a full on EVENT! The weekend includes all meals, training, personal bike consultations, drinks & cocktails, entertainment on and off the training course, and a new tribe of friends that will last a lifetime. See below for the full itinerary!

Founded by a group of friends driven by the love of exploring wondrous places on motorcycles, the ATX journey evolved into sharing that exhilarating experience with others. Today, they proudly plant their flag in the heart of Central Texas, transforming into a premier adventure motorcycling training facility, resort, and tour operation.

Their objective is to inspire and prepare the adventure motorcycling community with all the skills and know-how they require to explore marvelous places whether on pavement or off-road. They strive to create a safe space to do the things not expected to be inherently safe, to create a culture of support and knowledge, and to offer a tribe to all those who share our enthusiasm for motorcycles.

LEVEL 1 & 2 Explorer

You learn the basics of off-road riding and safety, best practices for braking and clutch, and how to control the bike through challenging surfaces such as improved dirt, mud, and packed gravel.  You push your skills further by handling your bike with sand, small obstacles, and trails.  After completing this training, you will be able to confidently manage a motorcycle capable of off-pavement travel.

LEVEL 3 Adventurer

You begin to stand out as a trained off-road rider who can tackle poorly maintained dirt roads, gravel, small rocks, sandy roads, mud holes, ruts, rocky hills, and water crossings. You become capable of riding some of the Back Country Discovery Routes (BDRs).

ITINERARY

Day 1 kicks off with cocktail hour at 6pm, followed by dinner & introductions. The following two days will start with breakfast at 7:30, and will wrap up around 4pm. All meals, drinks, and entertainment are included.

Teaching Style

Ben has lived and breathed the D.A.R.T program under his dad throughout his life. And by having the opportunity to witness so many classes and training sessions, Ben is an impressive rider and an even better communicator. Now being certified, he continues to help evolve and push the program and their coaching techniques. He has a unique and extremely personable way of assessing riding techniques and offering tweaks and pointers meant just for you. His students are quickly at ease under his instruction, and inspired by his abilities as a rider. His classes are never a one-size-fits-all, as both Ben and Bill Dragoo are extremely skilled at finding the right balance for each student.
